Marathon City has two tax increment districts (TID) that encompasses properties north of State Highway 29, property in the Marathon City Business Park as well as property in the downtown commercial district. The implementation of the TIDs has allowed Marathon City to improve and extend infrastructure, develop a business park, and provide financial assistance to businesses seeking to locate and located in Marathon City.
