On February 7th, 2025, The Marathon Lion’s Club presented a second donation check for $5,000 to the Village of Marathon for use on remaining projects at the new ballpark complex. This 2nd donation comes after the Club voted to match anyone or any organization’s total donations up to $5,000 between Nov 20, 2024 and Jan 31, 2025. The total money donated because of the Lion’s Club Donation Match Campaign was $24,375. At the Village Board Meeting on February 5th, the Board of Trustees voted to approve allocation of donation money to purchase items needed to complete ballpark.
The Village of Marathon thanks the Lion’s Club and all other organizations and individuals for their generous donations and looks forward to seeing future generations enjoying the new ballpark complex.
